PaidSync alternatives (2026): AI tools that only read your Google Ads
PaidSync is built to act: it creates campaigns on Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and ChatGPT Ads, and manages them on the rest, with a dry-run preview before writing. If you want an AI that only reads Google Ads, the options are Google's free open-source MCP server (you run it yourself), a hosted read-only server like Ads MCP, or a plain Google Ads script.
What PaidSync does
PaidSync is a hosted MCP server for 14 platforms: Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, Pinterest, Microsoft Ads, X, ChatGPT Ads, GA4, Tag Manager, Search Console and Merchant Center. It creates campaigns on Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and ChatGPT Ads. Write actions start as a dry-run preview, and deletes and pauses need an explicit confirmation (paidsync.ai/pricing).

Why some people want read-only
A dry run protects you only if someone reads it. When the assistant proposes 30 changes at the end of a long chat, the confirmation becomes a reflex. For agencies there is a second reason: the client's account is not yours, and many clients only grant read access. A read-only tool cannot change anything by design: it finds the problems, and a person applies the fixes.
The read-only options
| Option | Cost | Setup | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google's open-source MCP server | free | Cloud project, API, credentials, often a developer token | raw GAQL access from your assistant |
| Ads MCP (hosted) | free plan, then paid | paste an address, sign in with Google | fixed audits, Google Ads Editor files, client reports |
| A Google Ads script | free | paste into Google Ads | one fixed check, emailed daily |
With Ads MCP the fix still reaches the account, through you: the negative keywords and pauses come as a CSV that Google Ads Editor previews before anything is posted.
How to choose
- Google Ads only, and you want to apply fixes yourself: a read-only option.
- Many platforms, and you want the AI to build and change campaigns: PaidSync or similar.
- Not sure: start with the free search terms check. It costs nothing and shows whether search terms are where your money leaks.
Ads MCP is a read-only Google Ads connector for ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants. It finds the searches that spend without converting and hands you a file to import. Free: 15 tool calls a month.

Adspirer alternatives (2026): AI tools that only read your Google Ads
Adspirer lets an AI create and change campaigns on 6 ad platforms, from $0 to $167 a month. If you want an AI that audits Google Ads without touching it, here are the read-only options and how they compare.
Import negative keywords into Google Ads Editor from a CSV (the 5 columns)
Campaign, Ad Group, Keyword, Criterion Type, Match Type: the 5 CSV columns Google Ads Editor needs for negative keywords, ad group vs campaign negatives, and how to check the import before you post it.
Official Google Ads MCP server vs a hosted one: which to use (2026)
Google's open-source Google Ads MCP server is free and read-only, but you run it yourself with a Cloud project and API credentials. A hosted server skips the setup. What each one gives your AI, side by side.
Maximize clicks vs Maximize conversions: which to use on a new Google Ads account
Maximize clicks buys traffic; Maximize conversions buys results but only works with conversion tracking. On a new account: tracking first, clicks only as a short start with a max CPC limit, then switch.
